Faith

LPI's Senior Director of Church Engagement Tracy Earl Welliver asked readers of the weekly bulletin from Our Lady of Hope Parish in Aurora how far they would go for their faith.

He said if one Christian is willing to "lay it on the line and be all in," then all Christians need to be as well. Welliver wrote that Christians are still being killed for their beliefs in some parts of the world, while others have to practice their faith in secret to avoid persecution.

Some don't appreciate the freedoms they have to celebrate their faith, Welliver said, and they give nothing in return.

"It may seem like little is being asked of you and I by God," Welliver wrote. "Is that because we aren't being asked or because we aren't listening?"

If we're counting on each other, he wrote, we should already know the answer.
