The Rev. Don Talafous regularly posts his Daily Reflections for parishioners at Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, and his most recent one revolves around two psalms.

“In you alone is my soul at rest, Talafous quoted from Psalm 62. “My help comes from you.”

He added the following from Habakkuk 3:17-19.

“Although the fig tree does not burgeon, the vines bear no fruit, the olive-crop fails, the orchards yield no food, the fold is bereft of its flock and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in the Lord and rejoice in the God of my deliverance.”

Talafous then cited Pslam 27, which states, “I believe I shall see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong; be stouthearted, and wait for the Lord!”
