In the July 26 weekly bulletin, the Rev. Tony Andrade of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Community in St. Paul Park explained how the Kingdom of God is like a treasure beyond value, and how Jesus told his followers that it is worth giving everything to gain it.

“Nothing else is more valuable,” Andrade wrote. “Even if in the eyes of the world they appear foolish, in the eyes of God they are wise and rich.”

The concept of the Kingdom of God, Andrade wrote, is simple yet so profound that it can change our perception of life and the world.

“It means to know that one is a child of God, with a dignity and an eternal destiny,” Andrade wrote. “It means to believe in God's great love for me and His calling to live and walk in His love. It means to know the meaning of life and how to live it.”

Like in the parable, we find God when we are attending to our normal business, as God will reveal himself to use in the perfect timing.
