In compliance with the new executive order in Minnesota, in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Rev. Bob White told parishioners of St. Victoria Parish in Victoria that church attendees must wear face masks.

“In continuing to do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we appreciate your attentiveness to this new requirement to wear masks while at church,” White wrote in the July 26 weekly bulletin.

All of the staff and volunteers will be taking part in this requirement with the only exceptions being when they are reading or singing in the roles of presider, cantor or lector.

“As a parish that welcomes all, we understand the exceptions needed for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are unable to wear a mask due to medical or other conditions,” White wrote. “Let’s continue to have patience and understanding, and offer prayers for one another during this time.”
