On Sept. 9, the Minnesota Catholic Conference will host a Zoom webinar on racial inequity and injustice following the death of George Floyd, who was killed by police in Minneapolis in May.
The Minnesota Catholic Conference is "the public policy voice of the Catholic Church in Minnesota," a release issued on the organization's website said. The forum is "for priests, deacons, educators and lay ecclesial ministers."
The webinar will address how the Church can help foster dignity for all humans and advance the common good in difficult times like these, along with other timely issues.
The webinar, which will run from 10 a.m. to noon Central Daylight Time, will feature Shelton Fabre, Bishop of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux in Louisiana and chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism. Additional panelists include Damon Clarke Owens, Loralean A. Jordan and Lannette Turicchi.
The webinar is free to join. To register, click here.
