The University of St. Thomas achieved an 80.2% six-year graduation rate and seems poised to continue that success with the enrollment of an academically strong Class of 2024.
The mark is an all-time high for the university's six-year graduation rate.
The Class of 2024 has an average GPA of 3.69 with a mid-50th percentile ACT range of 23-29, a release issued on the university's website said. Of the 1,396 new undergraduate students, 31% came to the university with Advanced Placement credits. 19% of the class are students of color.
The university’s total enrollment is 9,792, with 22% students of color. Half of the students are female, 15% of the population are non-Minnesota residents and 74% attend full time.
Of the total student body, 3,459 are graduate students and 196 are two-year students.
The largest number of graduate students, 923, are enrolled in the Opus College of Business, and the School of Engineering has 742 enrollees, the release said. After engineers, future lawyers have the next highest number of graduate students with 545 enrolled in the School of Law. The School of Education and Morrison Family College of Health each have graduate enrollment just under 500. The College of Arts and Sciences has 140 grad students enrolled, and the School of Divinity has 127.
At admission, the students enrolled came from 47 states. A total of 495 international students from 71 different countries attend the university.
