The Rev. Dennis Zehren of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Brooklyn Park recommended Catholics visit the Rachel's Vineyard website during the Respect Life Month to "renew, rebuild and redeem hearts broken by abortion."

"I am always so uplifted reading the testimonies of women, and men too, who become transformed and freed by God’s grace after having suffered deep woundedness and burdens for so long," he wrote in the church bulletin. "A common thread in the testimonies is that the person had been“suffering in silence” for years – but once they found a safe place to share their story, then they were able to find their place in God’s story."

Zehren said it's refreshing to read such positive stories especially during a time when the media is filled with COVID-19 pandemic news.

Other voices out there speak of grace and true hope, healing and joy.

"Doesn’t it seem hard to find safe people to talk to these days? Try to be one," Zehren said in the bulletin. "We all need healing – and we might begin to se ea lot more grace flow where now there is too much animus, attack, and fear."
