Catholic Charities of St. Cloud is holding a food drive and fund donation on Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., which will bring the community together in order to give back to those in need.

Catholic Charities helps with a wide range of services, including housing services and community services.

“CELEBRATE COMMUNITY! We are grateful to our local service clubs for coming together to host a food and fund drive this Thursday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., at the Pathways 4 Youth parking lot at 203 Cooper Ave. N, St. Cloud. Food donations received from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. will support Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf, and funds received from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and designated to Catholic Charities will support Catholic Charities Food Shelf,” Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud said on its Facebook page.

Donation items that can be brought to the drive include cash, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, juice, flour, sugar, rice, pasta, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Additional toiletry items being accepted include shampoo, toilet paper, laundry detergent, baby wipes and diapers. Also, baby food, pots and pans and gently-used clothing are welcomed.

The Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf gives a week's worth of food supplies monthly to households in the area, directing help to those who cannot leave their home or otherwise would not have access to healthy foods, according to Catholic Charities of St. Cloud.
