The Diocese of Crookston will be holding a youth rally for high schoolers on Thursday, March 27. The theme is "The Now of God."
"Join us for the #DioCrookston High School Youth Rally on Sunday, March 27, at Sacred Heart Church and School in East Grand Forks!" a recent post on Facebook said. "The Rally begins at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude with 5:00 p.m. Mass and 6:00 p.m. supper."
Students in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to attend.
This year's theme, "The Now of God," is based on Pope Francis' encouragement to youth: "Keep walking, keep living the faith and sharing it," the post said. "And do not forget, you are not the tomorrow, you are not the 'meantime,' you are the Now of God."
The Most Reverend Andrew Cozzens, Aly Aleigha, Jon Martin, Mark Hollcraft and Tania Vergara-Gongora will participate.
Cozzens served as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis before Pope Francis appointed him to serve as the eighth Bishop of Crookston, a U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops article said.
Aly Aleigha is a singer-songwriter who leads praise and worship, bringing herself and others closer to God through music, a release issued on Catholic United Financial said.
