The Diocese of Winona-Rochester will hold a Eucharistic Congress 2023 on June 10 called "This is My Body" for Minnesotans and others to participate in this summer.

“Friends, I invite you to join us for a Eucharistic Congress this summer,” Bishop Robert Barron said in a recent tweet. “Come and join thousands as we rejoice in the Lord through the Eucharist.”

The Diocese of Winona-Rochester in southern Minnesota will have a day-long celebration starting June 10 to honor Christ in the Eucharist. The celebration, also called a Eucharistic Congress, will be held in Mankato, Minnesota, the Diocese of Winona-Rochester said in a statement

Eucharistic Congresses have been a source of spiritual renewal and revival for attendees for many years. The events have provided remarkable and singular spiritual graces to many people.

For some priests and religious individuals, attending a Eucharistic Congress has helped them discern their vocation, while others have experienced a renewed sense of faith, the diocese said in its release.

Children are welcome and will have a variety of opportunities available. The Servadora Sisters will lead Eucharist-themed activities for children ages between potty trained to 12 in the morning and afternoon.

There will be family-oriented service projects such as packing 10,000 meals with Kids Against Hunger, along with outdoor games and a picnic with the Armstrong Brass Quintet.

A nursery area for children up to 3 and a privacy room for nursing mothers will also be provided. Teens can hang out in a lounge area with NET young adults to discuss faith, while live music will be played throughout the day, as well as other activities, according to the the Diocese of Winona-Rochester Eucharistic Congress.

It’s part of a national Eucharistic revival being promoted because “the Church needs healing and the world need Jesus,” according to the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia in an online message encouraging people to attend similar events that the diocese is hosting.
