The Rev. Daniel Bodin of Saint Peter Catholic Church in Forest Lake recently told his congregation that he will be acting as the parochial administrator at the Church of Saint Joseph in Lino Lakes.
As the parochial administrator, Bodin will essentially be the acting pastor for Saint Joseph. The Rev. Mike Anderson is on a medical sabatical, Bodin said, the church bulletin reported.
“Like a pastor, I will report to the Archbishop but serve on a temporary basis until Father Anderson returns,” Bodin told his congregation. “I will also be tasked with overseeing the governance of the parish and assuring the general sacramental and spiritual life of the parish continues.”
In an accompanying letter, Archbishop Bernard Hebda of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis stated that the temporary assignment to Saint Josephes effectively began on Oct. 1.
“This appointment will end when the pastor, Father Michael Anderson, returns to the parish or you are otherwise notified,” Hebda said in his letter.
