In Minnesota, Gov. Tim Walz has closed many public spaces, schools and businesses via executive order.
Walz’s executive orders are being challenged in court in regards to their constitutionality.
“That's something that is against our self-governing principles that we've had in the state of Minnesota since we were a part of the northwest territory,” Doug Seaton, Upper Midwest Law Center President and attorney, told KTSP-TV.
Leading public health experts from Harvard, Stanford and Oxford have advocated against future lockdowns.
In the face of much lower fatality rates and the long-term economic damage to the economy, some argue lockdowns could have a more devastating impact on the long-term health of those in isolation.
The WHO has also called lockdowns “harmful,” with such a pronounced economic impact on communities that public health outcomes may be affected for a generation.
