Bishop Robert Barron was installed as the new Bishop of Winona-Rochester.

“Friends, it was such a great blessing to be surrounded by family, friends and the people of southern Minnesota at my installation—and quite humbling too,” Barron tweeted. “Thank you for the warm welcome, and please continue to pray for me as I begin my ministry in Winona-Rochester.”

The Diocese of Winona-Rochester posted about the installation Mass, too.

"It was a tremendous blessing to welcome Bishop Robert Barron's family and we want them to know this is now your home too! We look forward to your next visit!” the diocese's said in the Facebook post

Barron's episcopal ordination took place July 26, when he was installed as the ninth bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, according to Word on Fire

He replaced Bishop John Quinn, who resigned after leading the Diocese of Winona-Rochester for 13 years, according to the Catholic Review. Bishops are required to retire at the age of 75.

Barron began his Word on Fire Catholic Ministries more than 20 years ago, sharing the Gospel with his more than 3.1 million Facebook followers, 517,000 YouTube subscribers, 349,000 Instagram followers, and 198,000 Twitter followers. He is the first priest since Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen to have a regular national program, according to a release.
