Three students at St. Mary's School in Bird Island have qualified to represent the school in the Minnesota State Competition for Regional History Day.
The results for the virtual exhibit board competition for Regional History Day were sent in on April 6 and showed that three of 15 projects from St. Mary's School will be advancing forward, according to a Facebook post from the school.
Miraya Ryberg was selected to move forward with her She-She-She Camps during the Great Depression project, according to the post. Hannah Schlomann will be moving to state with her project on American Women's Hospital Service and Griffin Kubesh will be going with his Jonas Salk and the polio vaccine project, the post said.
This will be Schlomann's and Kubesh's second year in a row advancing to state.
Carter Bremseth was given an honorable mention for him Little Rock Nine project, the post said.
Fifteen National History Day projects were made by St. Mary's School students. Four projects are moving forward to state and two were given an honorable mention at regionals, according to the post.
