Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota has entered into a Catholic collegiate outreach program with the Fellowship of Catholic Universities (FOCUS) for this academic year to build stronger relationships between Winona undergraduate students and Campus Ministry.

Two FOCUS missionaries— Emma Smith and Becca Kuehn— will be welcomed to Saint Mary’s campus for the 2020-21 collegiate year, a release on the university’s website said. They will support Campus Ministry with outreach events, arrange mission trips and promote the evangelization of staff, faculty and students. Their role also includes organizing Bible studies and inviting students to join, and building relationships with students.

The two FOCUS missionaries will live with six other FOCUS missionaries from Winona State University (WSU). Through WSU’s generosity, Saint Mary’s will welcome missionaries Chris Tibbets and Sammy Pederson to the Saint Mary’s campus also, the release said.

The outreach program with FOCUS links with Saint Mary’s initial goal in its strategic plan, Building a Future Full of Hope 2025: Live our Lasallian Catholic Heritage.
